We are regularly contacted by people that have just purchased a kayak or are thinking of buying one but don’t really know what they should learn before taking to the open water. H2Outdoor is offering the chance for you to visit us in North Devon and at the same time learn to kayak within the stunning local surroundings.
The learn to kayak course will start with an introduction to this activity before launching your own individual kayak and learning the basic skills required. Over the duration of the course you will learn about tides and weather, kayaking equipment and practice a variety of basic paddling skills as well as various safety and rescue procedures to enable you to be as safe as possible whilst on the water. The aim of the course is to reach the minimum standard required for the BCU 1 star award and the courses will take either 3 or 5 sessions depending on how much you would like to learn.
For those that like the idea of Glamping, H2Outdoor have a selection of new large Bell Tents that can be hired for the duration of your stay. All bell tents have room for the whole family to stay in style and will be set up ready for your arrival in a campsite of your choice. Please see our Accommodation section for further details on our Bell Tents.
